Diptych

These are my photos for diptych. The left is the pattern from the internet, the right is one of mine. This project didn't really appeal to me, but the idea is really cool and you could do a lot of other things with it.

Miniature Project
For my miniature project I had a blue shark. I put the shark in a little puddle of water and placed some plants around it like seaweed to make him look like a fish out of water. This project wasn't my favorite but I'm excited to see other people's ideas.

Filter in a Filter

This is a picture I took of the sunset in my backyard. I used the rectangular marquee tool in Photoshop to put multiple filters on it. I really like this project and would do it again.

Fall!

Fall makes me think of soft, heavy lighting, and that's what I tried to capture by putting a sepia filter on this photos of Ellie.

Post Secret

My post secret is I'm still afraid of the dark. I took this photo of Ashlyn with my hand behind her in the photo room and adjusted the exposure to make it look like the dark was reaching out to her. This project was fun, I'd like to do another like it.

Micheal Hughes inspired: Photo in a Photo

I really liked this project because I searched through old photographs from when my brother and I were little and it brought up a lot of memories. I wanted to print out a picture of Denver and hold it up in front of the city but I didn't find the time to get down there. In the picture, I'm standing by the lake when I was a kid. It was super hard to get the photo lined up exactly and take the picture at the same time

Idiom: Rule of Thumb

My idiom rule of thumb means an approximate measurement or principle. I liked taking the idiom pictures. I wish we had more time to take pictures, I would have liked to spend more time on this and picking an idiom I really liked

Idiom: On the fence about it

For the idiom pictures I chose the idiom "On the fence about it" which means to be unsure or undecided about something. I like the concept of idiom pictures but I spent too long editing my Name in Objects picture and didn't leave myself enough time for this project. I had another idiom "rule of thumb" I photographed but would have needed more time to put it together in photo shop.

Name in Objects

Brooke Buchan

I liked this project and found it fun looking for letters everywhere.
